Gold coins $ 20 Saint Gauden was issued by the U.S. Mint between 1907 and 1933. Saint Gaudens name was given to the currency after designer and sculptor Augustus Saint Gaudens designed this coin. Saint Gaudens mark is projected onto the front side just below the date. In the twentieth century the president of USA Roosevelt wanted to improve the design of these coins. Thus Saint GAUDENS designer was hired by him in order to design $ 20 Saint Gaudens coins. After Saint Gaudens designed these coins their design showed much better in terms of aesthetics.
